Connected to the internet at 15. That changed everything. Technology became a way to build things, and I couldn’t leave it alone.
I built web ventures while working in sales and management. Some worked. Some didn’t. I kept building anyway.
Shielded started in a garage with a laptop, a mobile phone and a whiteboard. The ambition was simple: build an insurance brokerage that did things better, with technology at its heart.
Today, Shielded Group brings insurance, life, finance and travel together, with a team of more than 120. I’m still hands-on with the technology, the people and the decisions that move it forward.

I still make time for side projects. They’re playgrounds for ideas, and a reminder of why I started.
